4-Day Laikipia Plateu and Olpejeta Safari

Our company's driver guide will pick you up from your city Hotel and take you on a scenic drive to the Laikipia plateau located in the north. During the drive, you will pass through the fertile highlands of Kenya, famous for its vibrant agricultural economy of tea and coffee. You will make a stop at the equator line for a demonstration of the north and south, and to use the bathrooms before continuing your journey to Laikipia. Upon arrival, you will have lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.

Laikipia Plateau is one of the most varied and interesting wildlife-viewing areas in Kenya. It's a fascinating world of community conservancies with strong ties to local communities, and all have impressive conservation programs. Many are especially good places to see big cats, particularly lions, and other sought-after species. Best of all, most conservancies see very few visitors because they only allow access to those who are staying at one of their exclusive tented camps or lodges.

Embark on an early morning game drive in this reserve, which boasts a breathtaking panorama and unique flora and fauna endemic to Kenya's Northern Hemisphere. The reserve is abundant with wildlife and is famous for its rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe including the Black Panther, and many more. Return for a late breakfast. Spend the middle of the day relaxing, just like the animals do. Read your favorite book or write in your journal. Then, head out again at 4:00 pm as the day begins to cool down. Spot the Laikipia special five before returning to the camp late in the evening.

Start your day with an early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for a relaxing breakfast. Afterward, pack up and head south of Samburu to reach the Fairmont Safari Club in time for lunch. Once you finish your meal, take some time to explore the hotel, which offers an Orphanage and a beautiful view of Mount Kenya. The hotel's Orphanage takes care of orphaned, injured, and distressed wildlife, providing them with a second chance to be released back into the wild once they have made a full recovery.

Situated on the slopes of Mount Kenya and perfectly positioned along the equator, the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club offers breathtaking views of Kenya's scenic landscapes. Additionally, the hotel features a well-maintained 9-hole golf course that offers a unique golfing experience due to its high altitude location and everlasting overhead sun.

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you will undertake a short drive to reach Ol Pejeta in good time to begin your game drive. The first part of the game drive will involve a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Following this, you will explore the park, which is home to a large population of black and white rhinos, as well as giraffes, gazelles, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and numerous other animals.

Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and is home to two of the world's last remaining northern white rhinos. It is also the only location in Kenya where you can observe chimpanzees. The sanctuary was established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. After leaving the park, you'll head to Nairobi with a lunch stopover at the renowned Trout Tree restaurant, arriving back in Nairobi late in the evening. You will then be dropped off at the airport or at your preferred location, marking the end of your safari.
