Route
Itinerary
We will pick you up from the hotel or airport and drive through the great Rift valley to the Lake Nakuru National Park. You will stop at the Great Rift valley viewing point to take photos of the historical escarpment. You will have a full day game drive...
After breakfast, you leave for Masai Mara National Reserve. You will arrive in the evening with an optional introductory game drive if time allows.
The amazing wildlife experience continues. On the plains are large herds of Herbivores grazing, cheetahs and leopards hiding in their locations. Masai Mara is the heart of Kenyan tourism with large species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Your picnic lunch will be at the Mara River migration point.
Spend another full day at the king of Kenya parks, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara never fails to impress with its intense concentration of big game wildlife. During the migration season, those numbers of animals significantly increase into the millions. Waves of zebra, wildebeest and eland cross the Mara River creating a spectacle you’ll never forget.
Spend a whole day viewing wildlife in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Have a chance to see the “Big Five”: lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. Wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs and gazelles, other kinds of African wildlife can also be easily spotted. Witness the famous wildebeests (gnu) and zebra migration from Serengeti (Tanzania) to Maasai Mara (Kenya) between July and September; this movement is one of World Wonders. Masai Mara being the stomping ground of the great migration, a massive accumulation of 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles stretching their legs over 1,200 miles in an annual race to find enough water and green grass for their survival. Enjoy, more afternoon game drives at this jewel park of Kenya.
After breakfast, you will prepare for your departure to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Our professional Kenya driver guide will hand you over to the Tanzania driver after the immigration formalities at the Isebania Kenya-Tanzania border. Arrive in Serengeti in the evening. Enjoy an evening sunset game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.
Spend a whole day in Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Experience the undisturbed nature in this famous game park. The term ‘Serengeti’ means endless plains in Maasai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like, leopards, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of the wildebeest and zebras, which occurs between Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Eagles, flamingoes, duck, geese, vultures are among the birds that can be seen in the park. The day will begin in the center of the majestic Serengeti. After a nourishing breakfast, we will continue our journey into the plains. Since we have a full day of game driving, you will likely view hundreds of the diverse animals that find their home within the Serengeti’s endless plains. This day will likely offer sightings of the African mammals that make the park famous—lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and water buffalo, all within a few feet of the jeep.
We will begin our day with an early morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. The savannah is an active landscape and the air is flooded with the melodies birds create as the regenerated sunlight starts to illuminate the full landscape. Your guide will study the prints on the ground to pursue predators late in the afternoon. We will travel to Ngoro Ngoro for dinner and overnight.
After an early morning breakfast, we continue Ngoro Ngoro Crater exploration, as it is the best time to spot animals. On this day, we will enjoy a game drive around the crater and stop for a picnic lunch at a small lake within the park. The lake is home to many hippos and migratory birds, so guests will be sure to enjoy the visit! Due to the animal “oasis” created within the crater, there is a high possibility of spotting every member of ‘the Big Five’. The group comprises some of the strongest animals in Africa—the ferocious lion, the giant elephant, the stealthy leopard, the charging rhino and the mighty water buffalo. Ngorongoro Crater is truly an amazing place. Did you know it was formed over two million of years ago? A large volcano erupted, collapsing the volcano, but left a perfectly unbroken crater, known as a caldera.
After breakfast, we will depart in the morning and travel to the Tarangire National Park where you can marvel at the colossal termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse birdlife assist in creating the tranquil ambiance of the Tarangire National Park. The great elephant population is an extremely remarkable sight. African elephants are the largest land mammal and adult males can weigh as much as seven tonnes. Tarangire’s varied wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons. When your game drive comes to an end, we will take you back to Arusha.
Depart after breakfast for Amboseli National Park, with clear view of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Drive across Namanga border, arriving at Amboseli late in the afternoon for lunch at the camp as well as check in. Evening game viewing starts at 4:00 pm. This park is the home of elephants, wildebeest (gnu), and buffalos, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, monkey families and rare bird species. In the early evening, the clouds clear, exposing the snowcapped dome of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
On this day, you will enjoy a full day game drive at the historic Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is a 360sq km park which has the largest herds of elephants. Amboseli National Park is known for its views of Kilimanjaro and the Maasai villages outside the park.
The park is also famous for the Amboseli wildlife photographic tours which include great photography of the Mt Kilimanjaro in the background of almost all shots of animals taken here. Capturing the snow capped Kibo Peak and the hundreds of elephants in the foreground has always been the iconic shot of an authentic african safari.
Have an early morning game drive in search of animals killing and eating. Later, come back to the lodge for breakfast then check out of the camp. You'll leave for Nairobi with a picnic lunch en-route to Nairobi. In Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your place of choice.
